Left thumb steers on a proportional pad — press anywhere on the left side and slide left or right, it's analog, not a joystick you have to hit precisely. Right thumb is a single throttle pad: hold to accelerate, slide up while holding to deploy boost, slide down to reverse or brake. There's no tilt or gyro option.
Boost charges automatically as you race — you'll see a ring fill around the throttle pad. Once it's ready, slide the throttle up without lifting off the gas to deploy it.
No. Every track, difficulty tier and Garage upgrade can be earned for free by playing. A one-time £1.99 "Full Access" purchase unlocks every circuit, Hard difficulty and Hot Seat multiplayer instantly for anyone who'd rather skip the grind — it's entirely optional.

Only Monza is open on a fresh install. Finish on the podium in Race or Hot Seat, or complete any Time Trial lap on your current final circuit, and the next one unlocks: Silverstone, Suzuka, Spa, then Monaco.

Spend coins earned from racing on permanent upgrades: Engine (top speed), Gearbox (acceleration) and Tyres (grip and steering), each with five levels.
Every race pays out a base amount plus a placement bonus and a podium bonus. The Daily Challenge — a rotating objective shown on the main menu — pays an extra bonus once per day when you meet it.

Not currently — there's no iCloud sync or account system, so career progress is local to the device it was earned on.
There's no in-app reset button yet. The only way to start fresh today is to delete and reinstall the app.
Race and lap timing run on an internal simulation clock rather than the wall clock, so backgrounding or a dropped frame never inflates your recorded time.
